SOUTHAFRICA INCREDIBLY ESCAPED WITH A NARROW VICTORY AGAINST CAPEVERDE: (2:1) ON PENALTY SHOOTOUT IT ENDED.

Cape Verde against South Africa for the last game of the quarter finals at Stadium:Stade Charles Konan Banny de Yamoussoukro, Both seeked momentous wins as they faced off in the AFCON Trophy of Nations 2023-2024 tournament match in Ivory Coast. 


SouthAfrica truimph ( 2:0) against Morroco and Capeverde also defeated Mauritania (1:0) at the knockout stage before progressing to the quarterfinals.


Both national teams displayed good tactical possession football but Capeverde wasn’t Complacent of their taticality and perdigery to create more scoring opportunities  but didn’t converted them as the match was tough and there was alot of tension. 


However, during the first half of the match Capeverde player R.mendes was showed a yellow card at 27th minute for an infringement.


Whiles southAfrica national team also played more tactically defensive game than attacking football and also held on to their counter attacking ability to create few scoring opportunities for them selves especially in the second half before the match entered in to the Extra-time which also ended Goaless after stoppagetime.


SouthAfrica Triumphed on penalties (2:1) against Capeverde. 


Celebrated Kenyan referee Peter Waweru Kamaku VAR assistant and two other professional referees officiated the eagerly anticipated fourth quarterfinal match.
