Effective Utilization of resources generally leads to increased production of goods and services.Production of goods and services in Africa is quiet low as compared to a countries like SouthAfrica,United Kingdom, China,South Korea, Japan and USA.The reason is that some of the countries doesn't effectively utilize its natural resources judicially for the indigens and citizens of the country to experience that kind of articulate transfomation they ought to, inorder to strengthen the socio-economic Advancement and Participation respectively.
The Question is Why?
The following accounts for the reasons why African countires like Ghana and other neighboring countries do not effectively utilize its natural resources the manner its suppose to be done or actualized to ensure the progresive sustainability of national development and economic Stability.
Lack of technology is also another factor that does not allow us to exploit our natural resource effectively.This is mainly due to the influence of tradition,complicensy, and procastination.Most cases senario, African countries blessed with the natural resources identifying their actual strength and the method of exploiting their natural resources usually should come from a favorable advanced country. And Technology is usually from the temperate regions of the world like the united kingdom and Unitedstates of America.
The Colonial Government some how was only interested in exploitting our economy.its educational policies laid emphasis on the general arts at the expense of Science and Technology.
it would be wrong and combasome to suggest that the result of all research work done overseas can not be applied here.Sometimes it cannot be applied due to shortage of relevant factors.And if the government is not able to provide this, then the natural resources can not be Fully Utilized to its unprecedented Perdigery.
It is a problem or inadequate capital (funds) for feasibility studies and tapping of resources.The unjust economic order and unfavourable terms of trade deter people(persons) from Utilizing the natural resources.And there is also lack of machinery and Sophiscated equipment to be used.
The Poor and lack of sustainable maintainance plan for infrastructure and facilities. And the poor transporation system and lack of quality roads to enable the transportation of farm harvest from the rural geograhical location to the Urban areas or destinations,just to mention a few.
Educational system that actually based on humanities rather than technical and vocational courses.Hence lack of skilled man power to tap the resources, and another pesstimistic factor is related to the frequent changes of Government and various ministorial roles and designations which mostly has pesstimistic influence, Leading to political instability and affects proper utilisation of idealogics and Policy enforced as well as sustainable management and adequate Utilisation of the natural resources to the undisputed benefit of the country's Economy advancement.
Even though Capitalization ,Human resources and natural resources may exist in Abundance,Economic Developement may still be slow if Human Resources are not fully Utilized.
1. Lack of sustainable job opportunities
2.Putting unqualified people in certain job positions.
3.Poor attitude to work
4.Lack of inventiveness
5.Lack of training and retraining are all factors hindering the acceleration of development and stability inregards to the economic transformation which depends on attitudinal change,foreign investment,Employment should base on merit and increase in wages respectively.
Considering and erradicating some these pessimism factors will indeed enable the needed Motivation that will urge workers to work very assidiously to ensure the increament in sustainable productivity and national development.
