Elon Musk has announced the first human patient to receive a brain chip from his company Neuralink is recovering well.

Elon Musk said the first human received a Neuralink brain implant. It is a potential milestone in the development of so-called brain-computer interface technology, which could one day help those suffering from debilitating conditions such as paralysis to interact with their surroundings.

Neuralink is a neurotechnology company founded by Elon Musk and seven   professional Scientist team: who build an implantable, brain-computer interface capable of translating thought into action.

The group of initial hires consisted and efficient of experts in areas such as neuroscience, biochemistry and robotics. Launched in 2016, the private venture claims its neural device will allow people with paraplegia to regain movement and restore vision to those born blind. However, each implant surgery will cost about $10,500, including exams, parts and labor, and that it will charge insurers about $40,000. It forecasts annual revenue as high as $100 million within five years. Neuralink says it plans to perform 11 surgeries in 2024, 27 in 2025 and 79 in 2026.
