Severe storms in the southeastern U.S. left at least three people dead and others injured as dozens of tornadoes touched down in Louisiana and Mississippi late Tuesday through Wednesday, officials said.



The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center is tracking a system along the Gulf of Mexico and predicted strong tornadoes and damaging thunderstorm gusts late Wednesday across parts of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and parts of the western Florida Panhandle.
