ISRAELI OFFENSIVE LOOMS AS EYGPT INITIALLY BUILDS WALLED ENCLOSURE AT THEIR BORDERS.

Egyptian authorities are constructing an 8-square-mile walled enclosure in the Sinai Desert near the border in response to potential Israeli Offensive Looms.fearful that an Israeli military push further into southern Gaza will set off a flood of refugees.

The boundary between Egypt and Israel stretches 206 kilometers (128 miles) along the eastern edge of the Sinai Peninsula from the de facto tripoint with Palestine (Gaza) to the Gulf of Aqaba in the Red Sea.

The Gaza Strip

The Gaza Strip is 41 kilometres (25 miles) long, from 6 to 12 km (3.7 to 7.5 mi) wide, and has a total area of 365 km2 (141 sq mi). With around 2 million Palestinians on approximately 365 km2 (141 sq mi) of land, Gaza has one of the world's highest population densities.

However,The construction comes as fears grow that the already horrific humanitarian situation in Gaza will worsen, causing thousands of deaths and a mass exodus of Palestinians to Egypt's border.
