Eve's legacy as a pioneering artist, actress, and influential personality.

EVE is a rapper, singer, and actress from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Growing up, her first musical interest was singing, which she did in many choirs and even an all female group named "Dope Girl Posse", they covered songs from bigger artists.

The groups manager suggested they start rapping and Eve ran with it, after the group split up, Eve began a solo career under the name Eve of Destruction. She went on to sign with Dr. Dre's label Aftermath, but with the signing of Eminem in March 1998, things weren't moving along as they should with her album and eventually, Dr. Dre dropped her from the label.

She was devastated but it wasn't long before things changed for Eve, she went on to work with Ruff Ryders and Interscope Records, finding early success with her debut studio album, "Let There Be Eve...Ruff Ryders' First Lady", released in 1999.

This album marked a significant milestone in her career, reaching #1 on the Billboard 200 and achieving double-platinum status, a feat accomplished by only two other female rappers at the time.

Following this success, Eve continued to make her mark on the music scene with her second studio album, "Scorpion", released in 2001. The album's lead single, "Let Me Blow Ya Mind", featuring Gwen Stefani, earned her a Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and further solidified her position in the industry.

Her musical journey continued with the release of "Eve-Olution" in 2002, featuring hit singles like "Gangsta Lovin'" with Alicia Keys. Throughout the years, Eve maintained her presence in the music scene, collaborating with renowned artists such as Missy Elliott, Gwen Stefani, and others.

Eve's acting career also flourished during this period, with notable roles in films like "Barbershop", "The Woodsman", and "The Cookout". Additionally, she starred in the UPN sitcom "Eve", showcasing her versatility as an artist.

In 2013, after parting ways with Interscope Records, Eve released her fourth studio album, "Lip Lock", as an independent project. This marked a new chapter in her career, showcasing her resilience and commitment to her craft.

Beyond her artistic endeavors, Eve co-hosted the CBS Daytime talk show "The Talk" from 2017 to 2020, earning two Daytime Emmy Award nominations for her contributions. Her diverse career also includes appearances on reality TV shows, such as "Sisterhood of Hip Hop".

In 2019, Eve made a musical comeback with the release of her single "Reload" featuring Jamaican dancehall artist Konshens. She continued to showcase her musical prowess in 2021, celebrating the 20th anniversary of her album "Scorpion" with new remixes.

Eve's legacy as a pioneering artist, actress, and influential personality continues to resonate, making her an enduring figure in the cultural landscape.
