Rapper Meek Mill initially slams kick-boxer Andrew Tate denying allegations he had a sexual relationship with hip-hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs.
On Monday, a former producer and videographer for Combs called Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones filed a lawsuit in which he alleged that he was sexually harassed, drugged and threatened by Combs for over a year. Jones, who produced several tracks on Combs' The Love Album: Off the Grid, is seeking $30 million in damages.
However,In a 73-page lawsuit, Jones said that he lived with Combs between September 2022 and November 2023 while working on an incredible album. Jones states that he was with Combs in various USA cities and also vacationed overseas with the star.
Jones has also alleged that he was not properly paid for his work on “The Love Album”. Earlier this month, Jones launched a “GoFundMe page” entitled "Help Me Sue Sean 'Diddy' Combs." As of press time, it has raised a little over $2,000 of its $50,000 goal.
Hitting back at the allegations, Combs' attorney, Shawn Holley, said in a statement: "Lil Rod is nothing more than a liar who filed a $30 million lawsuit shamelessly looking for an undeserved payday. His reckless name-dropping about events that are pure fiction and simply did not happen is nothing more than a transparent attempt to garner headlines."
"We have overwhelming, indisputable proof that his claims are complete lies," Holley added. "Our attempts to share this proof with Mr. Jones' attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, have been ignored, as Mr. Blackburn refuses to return our calls. We will address these outlandish allegations in court and take all appropriate action against those who make them."
While not accused of any wrongdoing, rapper Meek Mill and R&B star Usher have become talking points due to two redacted names in the complaint.
Mr. Combs informed Mr. Jones that he had engaged in sexual intercourse with rapper (REDACTED), R&B singer (REDACTED), and Stevie J," reads a line in the lawsuit. Producer and TV personality Stevie J has already called the allegations against him "false," adding that his lawyer will be handling this going forward."
On the part of Mill and Usher, speculation has mounted due to a footnote in the lawsuit that claims the rapper in question is "a Philadelphia rapper who dated one of the best Female Rapper Nicki Minaj," while the R&B singer is described as someone who "performed at the Superbowl [sic] and had a successful Vegas residency."
It was announced in 2017 that Mill's relationship with Minaj had ended after two years. One of the Best Musician and Dancer Usher, who announced his Las Vegas residency last year, performed at Super Bowl LVIII on February 11. These factors have led to speculation that the suit is referring to the stars.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, late Wednesday, Mill hit out at the allegations, writing: "No man or watt would ever approach me about gay activity and the whole place don't get flipped ... woke up seeing this on every blog like they know I'm coming!"
In another post, the musician stated that he has "the right to say I ain't gay."
Amid his stream of X posts largely promoting his new music, Mill also lashed out at social media influencer Tate, who asked on the platform earlier in the day: "So P Diddy was having sex with Meek Mill and Usher?"
"Was you sex trafficking women? [The f***] wrong wit you Brody,"Mill responded.
Mill was referencing Tate's charges for rape and human trafficking in Romania, where he is accused of creating an organized crime group with the aim of sexually exploiting women. Tate has denied the allegations leveled against him.
Not backing down, Tate said in another post: "I only asked a question because everyone is saying it happened. It's true or not?"
In recent months, several lawsuits have been filed against Combs, including one by his ex-girlfriend, singer Casandra "Cassie" Ventura. In her suit, Ventura called her relationship with Combs "a cycle of abuse, violence, and sex trafficking."
The suit also alleges that Combs led her into an "ostentatious, fast-paced and drug-fueled lifestyle." This allegedly included forced sexual encounters with male prostitutes, threats and beatings.
Ventura's lawsuit was settled one day after it was filed in November. Combs has denied all of the allegations made against him, with his attorney, Ben Brafman, also telling Newsweek in a statement at the time: "Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations."
