President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bessa Simons has promised to implement policies that will foster the growth of Ghana’s music industry.
In an interview on Onua TV’s Showtime with McBrown’, the MUSIGA president announced his intention to bring changes to the music industry and implement a system to help musicians get what they deserve from their hard work.
“We are in a position where we can encourage GHAMRO to do what will make the music industry better, so when someone is not been fair to a musician, we are called to the musician’s aid and we will make sure to put some measures in place so anyone who is in or wants to join MUSIGA will not suffer”
According to Bessa Simons, there are lawyers ready to assist musicians who have issues with GHAMRO concerning royalties.
“And once you join MUSIGA, you should know you have a backbone, we have lawyers to support any musician who is not being treated fairly when it comes to royalties”
