ONE OF THE BEST RAPPER EL :LAMENTED ABOUT THE DECLINE IN RAP MUSIC IN GHANA.

While the rap culture exists in Ghana, EL believes it lacks the widespread acceptance and support needed to thrive in the Ghanaian music market.

Ghanaian rapper and Producer EL however, shares his thoughts on why rap music is declining in Ghana, and some parts of Africa.

While rap sales have not decreased by 40%, it has seen around a 2% drop from 26% to 27.8% probability of all music sales. Billboard theorized that this decrease could be because there have not been any major releases in rap this year.

"In today's music landscape, attention spans are very short. People want to have fun and enjoy music without delving into deep lyrical content…This preference for catchy tunes is evident not only in Ghana but also in other West African countries like Nigeria.”.
