"I've never been to Nigel€ria 🇳🇬 and I don't think I'll go there anytime soon, those people are so @ngry"_Tyla
" I've met Rema in the UK when I was touring with Chris Brown, I met some other Nigerians in other countries but I've never been to Nig€ria, yet I've been to 25 African countries. Ask yourself why.
I'm not someone who would publicly talk negatively about other people no matter what, those who know me can confirm but some things just got to be said.
I use to love Nig€rian musicians, I still do and I'm friends with Ayra Star, Tems and Omah Lay. I love Wizkid, he's a living legend.
My problem is with Nigerians as people and their mental!ty. They don't want to see any other African doing better than them, it's not even about competition, it's about 3nvy and je@lousy.
When I won my first Grammy they !nsulted me and called me all sorts of names because I won over their musicians who had no bigger song than Water on the ones nominated.
When I won 2 BETs they got @ngry even though Tems also won, they were mad because I won 2 and Tems took home 1 BET that night. When I won my VMA award it got worse, the hate became bigger, they insulted me about my race, my skin tone, my looks, my music, my accent and everything they can possibly think of.
I then won 3 EMAs and became the most nominated African artist in history at the Billboard Music Awards and Nig€rians continued to be @ngry".SouthAfrican Professional Singer and Musician Expantiated. ~🗣Tyla 🇿🇦.
