Algerian boxer Imane Khelif, who won a gold medal at last year’s Paris Olympics amid a furor driven by false accusations that she is transgender, said she plans to defend her title at the 2028 Summer Games.

Those Olympics will be staged in Los Angeles during President Donald Trump’s term.

Mr.Trump has made some of those accusations, including during a speech he gave shortly before signing an executive order last month that aims to deny federal funds to schools that allow transgender athletes to compete in women’s and girls’ sports.
