Africa nations Trophy Tournament 2023-2024 Commenced with alot of Enthusiasm from qualified national teams from Africa and their funs to cheer and jeer them up as they display quality football at the Pitch of of play in Cote D’Ivoire.
The AFCON tournament features 24 national teams who have worked assiduously from the Commencement of the qualifys exhibiting undarable resilience to make history at the AFCON 2023-2024 tournament in Cote D’Ivoire.
As the Ivorians National team are aspected to replicate the record and performance of their former seniors succeeded winning the AFCON Trophy in the past.

However,alot of football lovers and funatic tagged the Ivorians,Senegalese,Morocco,Ghana,Nigeria and SouthAfrica just to mention a few to respectively reach the knockout stage,quarter finals,Semi finals and the Finals of the AFCON.
Though expectations are very high for the Senegalese national team as the defending champions to Optimistically repeat the same performance to win the trophy again to mark their second time at two AFCON tournaments.
FINAL STANDINGS OF THE GROUP STAGES:
Both the Capeverde and Equatorial Guinea national team coursed alot of upset with their unexpected surprising performance at the AFCON 2024,By toping Group (A) and (B) respectively as they qualified to the next stage of the tournament.
Equatorial Guinea, Morocco,Guinea,Nigeria,Angola,Egypt and Senegal was tagged by many football funatics to reach the quarterfinals of the AFCON due to the resilience in their play and exhibiting quality football and scored captivating goals.
How ever, The Senior national team, The Blackstars of Ghana exhibited more quality in their play and tactically scored brilliant goals but lost control to maintain their lead in almost all the three games they played at the AFCON groupstage which led to their surprise exist.
Whiles, Namibia,Cameroon,Dr congo, Maurtania,Guinea, Burkina Faso,South Africa and Mali also exhibited their strength to win their games and played good possession Football tactically as they qualified to the Knockout stage of the tournament.
AFCON 2024 KNOCKOUT STAGE:
The Egyptians national team also didn’t had a good start as the tournament commenced but they tried their best to draw 2:2 against the Capeverdian national team on the 28th january 2024 to qualify to the next stage of the AFCON Tournament in ivory Coast.But unfortunatly lost against Dr Congo in a (7:8) penalty shootout after both teams scored a goal each before the end of stoppagetime.
However,Equatorial Guinea also lost by a narrow defeat (0:1) against Guinea on Sunday 28th January and the Nigerian team exhibited their versitility and perdigery to Win as they showed more attitude on the pitch of play against the Cameroonians side (2:0) it ended to book their place to the quarter finals on Saturday 27th January 2024.
And Angolan team pulled out a surprise Win over Namibia (3:0) to secure a place in the quarter finals of the AFCON 2024 Tournament on the 27th January 2024.
The Capeverde national team also booked their place at quarter finals by a narrow win (1:0) against Mauritania.Whiles Ivory Coast squeezed into the knockout phase as one of the best third-place finishers after two defeats in their group. Senegal had stormed their group with three wins from their three games.
Defending champions Senegalese national team draw (1:1) against host nation ivory coast before stoppage time but the Host nation won the game on penalty shootout to book their place at the quarter finals.
Meanwhile, Mali Plays against Burkina Faso and one of the favorite team that have shown alot of resilience since the commencement of the tournament ,Morroco plays against the SouthAfrican team who have also shown their capabilities and perdigery in this tournament, match date : tuesday 30th January 2024 respectively.
