MALI DEFEATED BURKINA FASO TO BOOK A QUARTER FINALS SPOT AT THE AFCON 2023-2024 TOURNAMENT

 Mali booked a quarter-final meeting with hosts Ivory Coast by holding on to beat Burkina Faso at the 2023-2024 Africa Trophy of Nations tournament at :Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium in Ivory coast.

Mali national. Team played a very tactical football and displayed alot of resilience by keeping alot of possession on the pitch of play. Whiles the Burkina faso team also played well in both first and second half but they just couldn’t captalized on their scoring Opportunities and the lack of communication within their defence coursed the defeat.

E.Tapsoba(OG) and L. sinayoko’ captivating goal ensured the progression of Mali to the quarterfinals, whiles Burkina faso player E.Traore’s brilliant goal gave the Malian team a run for their Money.
