TikTok said it has spent $1.5 billion building an operation intended to convince U.S. lawmakers that the video-sharing app is safe. A special stand-alone unit, code-named Project Texas, oversees American data and content recommendations on the app.
But employees say data is still sometimes shared with TikTok’s China-based parent ByteDance.
However, the famous Tiktok company has been working assiduously updating their coddings and video-sharing App to ensure the protection of the Video-sharing data and the integrity of the company as executives try their best to convince Lawmakers in the States.
