As an A+ Technician and system engineer, Lifting and moving computer equipment can be one of the more strenuous parts of your job or activities.For instance, when you need towork on a CPU or a faulty machine.You may have to lift and relocate the machine to your work area.
Lifting and Moving Equipment Safety Before lifting anything;
1. Know your own strengths and Weaknesses.you need to be aware of how much weight you can handle.
2.When you lift,bend at your knees and not at your waist.This believe will prevent strain on your back muscles and pressure on your spine.
3.Assess the equipment you are moving if you feel that physically the equipment is too heavy or awkward for you to move alone, then get help from a coworker.
4.Equipment should never be stacked too high while moving to avoid hardware falling and breaking or damaging onthe floor.
5.Plan ahead,while moving equipement from one are to another,beaware of narrow door ways.
Always assess the situation first to determine if you can lift or move items safety.
