CHALLENGES LEADERSHIP AND FOLLOWERS TACKLES AFTER INDEPENDENCE

There is the need for leadership of various African countries to be circumspect as one of the component state within the global interdependent world, to endeavor to derose along term strategic plans to minimise its dependence on other countries with less favorable conditions.

The Political independence has imposed certain responsibilities and challenges that need to be tackled. The survival of the nation depends on ourselves.it is expedient for the leaders and followers to do the following:
To be able to Plan for the survival and development of the nation through Co-Operation.And also to be able to adjust after a change of government and to adhere to the tenets of the constitution of the State.

There is a symbolic problem and issue of ''Donor Fatigue'' which is a condition whereby aid is withdrawn by donor countriesafter a period of support.this seriously affects national development plans and strategies.

There is an issue of trade liberalisation which allow unjust competition between local infant industries and those of the well developed multinational Companies abroad.

Since such Overseas companies are well funded, their goods are competatively cheaper in Prices on the local markets.

thereby creating unemployment and redundancy with its attendant adverse implications.

There is the need to improve on education and training of manpower and skill, And the core need to learn to plan to sustain projects based upon her expertise and try to develop positive attitude to work.

Countries have to develop good international relationships and avoid those hindering progress of the state to ensure capitalisation for development and to have confidence in themselves to develop on their own effort by actualizing various articulate conceptual policies respectively for the better of the country.
