PASSPORT APPLICATION FEE BRUHAHA ; STANDARD FEE SURGE UNPRECEDENTEDLY BY 600%.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced an adjustment in the fees for passport applications ,which has quicken the attention and Pessimism Concerns of Ghanaians; especially the Probability that usually travels to pursue their Businesses and also study abroad.

Scrutinizing the recent economic situation;Surge in both Petroleum and food prices,including the depreciation in the Value of the "Ghana Cedis Currency".

However,Per the new charges indicated on the passport application website, an expedited application of a 48-page booklet will now cost GH¢800 whereas expedited application of a 32-page booklet will cost GH¢700. For those applying for the standard 32-page passport booklet, which previously cost GH¢100 is now GH¢500 whereas the 48 pages will also cost GH¢644.

The objective and motive behind this decision move is to enable the ministry to address losses incurred in the printing of passport booklets.
